A MacEwan University sustainable business course inspired workshop to encourage awareness of growing microgreens (leafy baby greens that resemble the taste of their parent plants but have more than five times the nutrients) in the convenience of one’s home, all year round.
Participants will be provided with an eco-friendly starter kit at the session (includes a plastic lunch sized container, sand, aquarium rocks, burlap, certified organic soil and GMO free untreated seeds) and instructions. Choose your seed from broccoli, radish daikon, kohlrabi, curly cress and brown mustard. Participants will learn how to put the kit together and what growing conditions are required for successful microgreens. Instructor: Michelle Murphy
