Board of Governors Representative
Nina has a comprehensive background in University administration and governance. With Masters degrees from both Universität Leipzig and University of Alberta, Nina began her career with MacEwan University in 2011, and represented MSA on the Academic Governance Council from 2013-17 and serves as non-academic staff member on MacEwan’s Board of Governors from 2018-2024. She continues to be engaged in many committees and working groups (e.g., co-curricular records, institutional learning outcomes, experiential learning, etc.).
Nina has worked with MacEwan International since the beginning of her MacEwan career, and is currently Manager, International Mobility and Partnerships. As part of this role, she provides students and colleagues with intercultural training and global engagement opportunities. She is the inaugural staff recipient of MacEwan’s I.D.E.A Leader Award.
Among Nina’s other community services are engagements as a board member and committee chair of the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation and president, board member of the United Nations Association in Canada (Edmonton branch) and organizer of UN Days at Edmonton’s City Hall.
